After the epidemic, tourist factories with educational and entertainment functions have become the favorite of people for light travel. According to statistics from the Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the total output value of Taiwan’s 158 tourism factories in 2023 will reach 6.6 billion yuan, with a total number of visitors of 22.3 million, both hitting record highs. Among them, the tourism factory output value king in 2023 will be won by Jordenice Castle, and the number of visitors will be won by TCC DAKA Open Ecological Recycling Factory.
As the scale of tourist factories expands year by year, and the business of high-unit-price Chinese herbal medicines, drinks, cosmetics, and skin care products is strong, the Industrial Development Administration estimates that in 2024, the output value of Taiwan’s tourist factories will challenge 6.8 billion yuan, and the number of visitors will be 23 million. The new high, based on Taiwan’s population of 23 million, means that everyone will visit the tourist factory in 2024.
The top ten tourist factories by visitor volume in 2023 are Taiwan Cement DAKA Open Ecological Cycle Factory, Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Company Puli Tourist Winery, Jordenice Castle, Shude Banshan Dream Factory, Likang Health and Wellness Tourism Factory, Likang Chinese Herbal Medicine Industrial Culture Center, Taiwan Yogurt Biscuit Academy, Souvenir City, Yawen Bali Coast Tourist Factory, Yawen Qilixiang Rose Forest.
The top ten tourist factories in terms of output value in 2023 are Jordenice Castle, Likang Chinese Herbal Medicine Industry Cultural Center, TJCOS Taiju Beauty Tourism Factory, Shude Banshan Dream Factory, Jinche Kavalan Winery, and Likang Health and Wellness Tourism Factory , Yawen Bali Coast Tourism Factory, Yawen Qilixiang Rose Forest, Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Company Puli Tourism Winery, Wanguo Tong Creative Tourism Factory. Among them, Likang and Yawen’s tourism factories each have two among the top ten, which is not easy.
The Industrial Development Administration pointed out that the five tourist factories that will be Taiwan’s international highlights in 2023 are Souvenirs in the Hidden Mist City, Wu Fuyang’s Sock Story House, Nina’s Chocolate Dream Castle, Kavalan Whiskey Distillery, and Baoxiong Fishing and Entertainment Pier.
